Humans

The race just isn't very average. I think they are a horrid option for most anything.

I suggest for humans:

Boon of mortality - +1 to all maxstats.

21 21 21 21 19 21

To offset this the humans no longer get +1s. And lose 2 allocation

This should make legitimate build options without going out ofy"average stats"

With those stat changes I'll be able to make a priest with the follow stats?

10 21 21 21 19 11

That seems really strong and out classing any other race atm. And not just priest, I think most casters would prefer having those stats.

Human currently have a niche as a defence orientated caster, that doesn't drop int like dwarfs.

yeah that is one problem with humans. they are ok casters and crippled melee units. i believe they should ideally be the best paladins/druids(this was the sole restricted race for these classes in the earliest of games in the genre) and decent for monk/knight/barb. problem is they just arent very good.

in ember, sauron would have only needed 9 orcs to eradicate the entire human race. thank god for legolas and gimli, poor aragorn couldnt stay out of the temple...book was written in 1954 and aragorn is still under rez sickness.

right now humans are pretty much only used as necros and clerics, and which are both usually avoided for higher agi or more spell power(elf helf or elemental) and the top melee use is an oad minstrel. because in a group fight 20-21 agility minstrel will blink and be in a temple.

in most games i play humans and gnomes, sadly both on this game suck. theres way too many race builds with 23 agi to float around with 20-21 agi.

We can't change the stats without:
a) Abandoning the "balanced" class thing
b) making humans too strong

So perhaps giving them stronger bonuses? Like increase their MR, natural AC, dodge boost, potion effectiveness, exhaust speed, etc.

Definitely, they do need a bit of love.
