Class name ideas

Postby Zilveari » Thu Jun 09, 2016 11:19 am

Assuming that the trees stay as is:

Swordsman => Knight => Champion
Thief => Brigand => Bandit
Barbarian => Berserker => Savage
Paladin => Guardian => Templar
Cleric => Acolyte => Priest
Bard => Minstrel => Troubadour
Druid => Elder Druid => Arch Druid
Monk => Martial Artist => Ninja
Assassin => Slayer => Cutthroat
Sorceror => Enchanter => Arch Mage
Necromancer => Death Mage => Lich
Ranger => Stalker => Hunter

-I like Champion, Templar, Troubadour, and Lich. Acolye works too. Arch Druid is also good but I believe it is 'Archdruid'. or 'Arch-Druid'
-Bandit feels weaker then brigand. I'd rather do Thief > Bandit > Brigand if that was the case, that could work then.
-Not sure about Martial Artist or Cutthroat. I guess for Monk/Ninja theres not much different choices?
-Sorc could become Grand Enchanter too. Arch Mage is eh here. Grand Enchanter sounds big :P
-Warlock could be something for Necro too, I like Lich though but dunno how correct that term is here.
-Dunno why you got rid of Cav, I like cav. Knight -> Cavalier -> Champion

I agree

Lich is kind of the endgame for a necro though. When they have mastered their craft they are able to actually raise themselves as a Lich, and become far more powerful than a lock or necro. Honestly I think I would rather see Warlock replace Death Mage.

I don't think that Knight should be the first tier. It takes a lot for a warrior/swordsman to become a Knight. It is even a title of honor in some cultures. I think there should be something before Knight.

Acolyte-Monk-Ninja
Monk-Ninja-Samurai
Assassin -Slayer - Hit-man Spymaster Corsair

Paladin could be Guardian or Crusader
Bard could be Gypsy or Maestro
Ranger - Hunter - Stalker
Cleric - Priest - Bishop

Don't really agree with these two. Samurai and Ninja are very different classes. A Samurai would be more likely to be in the Knight category. And I think Acolyte goes better with Priest than Monk.
