Class suggestion: Spellsword

Name up for debate I just always thought while playing ROK that it would be cool to have a class that was a hybrid caster/melee similar to Elder druids but different.

Difference here is that with a Spellsword, they can buff their weapon with a spell that gives them intelligence based damage on their sword. Maybe they can have other supplemental spells too like stoneskin.

Could start as mage. And I understand new classes and races are probably far off anyway.

Good comparisons, Dark Souls as well. The Knights of Astora buff their weapons with lightning and can conjure lightning spears to throw at their enemies.

We could always tweak bards a bit to fill this niche. Give them spells that directly augment their damage or hit rate. We could come up with four or five songs that would merge magic, song, and sword.

Really love this idea. I like the idea of being able to cast a spell on your weapon for different effects, but only one spell active at a time, could even have a time limit on how often you can cast a particular spell on it.

Example:
I cast a dmg enchancing spell on it, it lasts 5mins and there's a 2 or 3 min cooldown before that spell can be used again?
