Pie charts. Show how many players are in each group.
lvl 1-10
lvl 11-20
lvl 21-24
lvl 25

Races.

Classes.

Pie charts for alllll! Then we don't have to make polls, etc, to find out if something seems unbalanced.
If 37% of all lvl 25's are Halflings...then we may need to look into that, etc.

Newcomers. Some people like to know they're using the best cookie cutter race/class combo. I admit I generally do. Before I played games I would read up about races and classes, etc. And I usually trolled the forums to make educated guesses on how to effectively create my first character.

Character creation is dependant upon what a player wants and needs for the individual. Is said character ment to kill a certain monster. Is said character built for role play. Gnome assassin etc,

^Try saying that 5 times quickly.
I think its a good idea if players can see the most commonly used race/class combo. We all need a starting point and this is a good way to do it.
I mean let's face it when were playing a new game we would (or should) be asking these kind of things anyway. I pretty much always look up guides and wiki on character builds for new games.
We can always get inventive once we get a foot hold in the game.
As for the people who make whatever class/race combo they have in mind; well they would do that anyway.
The new character creation combined with this will mean that newbies should know that the character they are making is a good or bad idea.
Every bit helps.

this is also a put-off when they look and see 2000 horcs 2600 saurians and 78 gnomes. it leaves them puzzled about balance issues and why it is like that. the info for noobs you are asking for is already embed into the character creation system via popular races in green.
there wont be a player that logs on creates a barbarian and thinks intelligence is the main stat anyway.

as for the pie charts, those are nice for players to look at maybe to get a little info but mostly for staff as an info grasp. i do hope that if this is added theres multiple pies with sort options like classes used this month, today, this year, overall etc. a big one would be "whats the most popular divinity" that way the game constantly ebbs and flows with changing div use. and ofc the pies only tally level 8+ for the love of god :)
