Some first impressions

Ok, so I've just recently started playing the game and would like to share some things I've noticed. I did play Realms of Kaos, but forgot enough to consider myself a complete newb.

First, the main page should have a tab linking to the beginners guide, there is a ton to take in and consider as soon as you start. As such, you shouldn't have multiple steps to find it. (It should also have a few suggestions for starter characters and let them know that if they don't max out their assassins str, agi, and end they will end up deleting that character later).

Not having a roller sucks. I spend more time in the game waiting on stamina to reload and doing nothing then actually playing the game. Roller was an ingame scratch-off that was a great time waster.

I love the quests, I did find some of them weren't worth the trouble and even with store bought eq I could level up and acquire gold faster elsewhere.

One character at a time BLOWS. It's hard to enough leveling and acquiring gold as it is without wasting our resources on constant healing. I've yet in the two short weeks to see a single person leveling so that's of no help. I've also /gapplied without a response, yet. And no one is ever around to help on the noob hotline.

The exp bonus for being in a party is pretty unfair. I shouldn't have to suffer because of lack of activity. Even if there was a ton of people around what if I prefer more of a solitary experience? Seems really counter-active.

Really dig the /exp cmd, level-up, and cap prompts, it really saves time.

Lag-free and that's huge.

Overall I really like it, aside from a couple of things. It encompasses exactly what it should. Very appreciative to have you guys doing this.

Aye, maybe a wiki link can be on its own tab with a message for new players to read for helpful information.

Nothing wrong with store bought gear, especially when starting. I usually only do the quests that end in gear (depending on class).

If I am on I will respond to noob channel, I just haven't been playing much lately, plus i'm on UK time.

I prefer to solo level personally.
Advantages:
Don't need to hang around for peeps, or look for peeps.
You can level as you please (I am a cheap ass, i use drink/food over potions) at your own pace.
Any drops are yours.
I am not bothered by downtime (stamina recharge time) because I am doing something else (reading a book or watching a movie).
Good if you are anti social like me.
Disadvantages:
Slower.
Not so good for the people person (but you can always page random people! Off course beware those ebil pkers  Or join a guild, but you already mentioned that).

If you have no response from /gapply try paging a person from the clan you wish to join.

/exp command is nice aye. I wish there was a command that showed the whole table... :geek: Release this info for the wiki!
Or give me a 350, a 325, and a 300 mil exp scroll and I will do it myself :D

Agreed.

I hated the roller :p But i get your point, the stamina reload perhaps could be faster... 8 seconds or something. Something to play with i guess

Mmm i disagree - its a question of habit, and i think one gets used to it. On healing, dont use pots, use rations. Its slower, but alot cheaper.

.

/who
Then randomly page people, most will help you i guess

Im neutral on this. I like leveling alone, but i dont mind others that like to do it socially are rewarded. Bigger parties are also a target for pking.

Yeah NH rocks. New update soon, and things will improve even more. There are discussions on advertising to get more players, also.

Herro.

As far as the /gapp thing, sorry, all it really does is show a line of text for guild leaders to see.

>>XxFighterBroxX applied on 3/28/18

Something like that.

Check discord imo, I get some people don't like using that but with smaller games like this it's an important part of keeping in touch. Guarantee if you ask a question there you'll get an answer within minutes. https://discord.gg/ZtwTfJx is the Ember discord. Guilds have their own discords as well.

There's been a lot of discussion regarding rollers. Personally I absolutely hated them, seems a total waste of time to me. Plus it's just another vector of attack for people wanting to write bots. I don't expect we'll ever see one in Ember as the majority voted against it in the past.

Quicker stamina regen would make it more awkward for multi boxing :D
