So I was a long time RoK player and former events staffer. Thinking about taking a spin. Had some questions:
What are the current best builds for the classes, was going to make an Assassin and Guardian to start

Assassins are normally Saurians if you want pure DPS, or I would assume DE if you want some sort of survival with magic and better hide ability.
Guardian is tough, it can be played a few different ways and many races work for it. For the most case the two general ones are str/agi/end/int and then rest into wisdom, or low str/agi/end/int/wis for resistance to magic making you better at protecting but worse at solo stuff. (You can change stats though free once so I would keep STR to start and then lower it when your done leveling.) Dwarf is good for PVE, Dark-Elf/Ling/Human are pretty good choices overall. Primordial is niche for super magic resistance and is really only used for group PVP but works well there.
