Removing the need for them to leave the room to backstab would make them OP. Which means their damage would have to be nerfed to make up for it, otherwise you have characters putting out upwards of 1800 damage with div and no drawback whatsoever.

Yeah, most of staff took a break from being staff for the holidays, and will probably get back to work sometime after the new year. We meant to have more stuff out before the holidays pulled everyone away, but it didn't work out that way, sorry.

Having a new player guild would be an interesting concept. Not a lot of people will be willing to leave their guilds and join a new one just to help new players though, so it would be pretty empty most of the time, leading to the exact same problem.

Yeah, I think it should be the kind of trade off you take for doing the most damage per round as a slayer. You need mobility to be effective, and anything that robs you of that mobility should rob you of your effectiveness too.

It wouldn't be able to be subtle, PvP would have to be mentioned as a feature. Those who like PvP would be able to see it and would be drawn to the game because of it, while those who wouldn't enjoy it would know to avoid it.

I think part of the problem is that the website isn't very informative, which is a problem ROK had, too. It had a nice looking website, but there was exceptionally little information on it that explained anything at all about the game. I would even say ours is worse off, because there's a marketing ...

Yes, so a higher wisdom character will still be unaffected by hostile spells more often.

I like the idea of a more in depth social system in general, so this would be a very nice way for that to get started. Though I think instead of it only showing the most active guilds, it should show a completely random one along with a message that tells them how to see a list of all active guilds ...
