The way I understand it is intellect is what rangers use to heal there pet. I don't know about you guys but I didn't have many points to throw into int when all was said and done. Maybe switching the modifier to charisma or something would make the heals more worthwhile so you dont spend round after round not doing damage and just healing your pet.

Frankly I was wanting a negative taunt level item for the pet so it would get hit less while in parties.

its a double edges sword really, the only way to get better heals is to sacrifice endurance/str/agi or chr. if you sacrifice chr your pet sucks even more and dies faster, counterproductive. if you sacrifice combat stats you kill slower and your pet takes more damage and dies faster.

i mean the class is ranger not a stable hand magically blessed with healing. the pet should just retreat and have a cooldown and return with full health imo.
we don't want a reclassed cleric that can only heal animals and drink pots.
