I went ahead and got the Caustic music app and am working on some music for the game too, using above music examples as inspiration. We'll see how much it sucks soon!

Those will be great for dark/creepy areas. As far as the cricket goes for Wiken Graveyard, I agree it should be nixed, but having it chime in for just a few chirps occasionally would be cool. For a lot of the areas in the game I think drawing inspiration from Dark Cloud could be a good idea. Example...

I think it's important to keep in mind that the game shouldn't be hard for the majority of players. That'll just scare them off. The basic areas/experiences should be easy/medium difficulty. The special areas such as oads or extremely high level areas should be where it gets hard. Where games are go...

I like what we had discussed previously where Rangers get one pet that grows along with them. This would be cool. Also a way to "store" an alternate would be nice, in case you want to switch between for different purposes. I know it slightly messes with the rp, but could be really useful ...
