Just one thing - if there are new areas coming out, can we have a forum announcement of that?

Not everything is announced as soon as it's released. Some new areas are released without even a peep from staff, and its intended to be that way.

Now and then, there might be a broadcast or the like indicating something new in realm, but there is no official "This just released" post, and I don't think there should be.

Some of the players have been doing a good job at adding new stuff to the wiki(thank you!) though, so maybe check there from time to time. :)

I dont like that.
A prospective new player that comes into this forum, and sees new areas being released, knows the game is alive and has a future. Otherwise, he might get a wrong impression.

Good point, so after the players can discover it then announce it ,

hear ye hear ye, wondering adventures have discovered vast treasures and riches beyond belief in the lands far to the north east. Beware though to the weary traveler for many wild beasts roam the lands.

Sound good?

I feel as though any new player who comes to the forum is going to try the game, regardless of if there is a single post in general discussion(or elsewhere) related the release of new areas or not. Once they're in game, they'll make the decision to stay or not based whatever their experience is while playing.

Besides, there are plenty of other posts indicating "the game is alive and has a future". Here's a great example:
